The findings of this study were presented on the basis of the data gathered from the respondents. These findings were based on the breastfeeding compliance of lactating mothers in Barangay 8, Bagumbayan, Washington Drive, Legazpi City, specifically the
problems that were identified by the respondents. 1. The respondents (lactating mothers) varied in their demographic profile. Majority were between 28-32 years of age with 30 % and the lowest ranking were 38 years old and above and with 10%. Under Educational Attainment, majority of the mothers belongs to College Graduate with a frequency of 12 with 40% and only 2 belongs to high school undergraduate with 6.67%. 40% were housewives and 3% of the respondent was a waitress. 40% had a monthly income of Php 6,000-10,000 while 3% had a monthly income of Php 16,000-20,000.

The respondents (Barangay health workers) varied in their demographic profile, majority were 36-40 years old with 75 % and only 1 belongs to 31-35 years and with 25%. Under Educational Attainment, majority of the BHWs belongs to college undergraduate with a frequency of 3 and with 75% and only 1 belongs to high school graduate with 25%. On Monthly income, a percentage of 50% and a frequency of 2 had earnings of 6,000-10,000.While 1 of the respondents earned 1,000-5,000 with 25% same as 11,000-15,000. In Years in Service 75% or a frequency of 3 has been in the service for 1-5 years, while 1 has been active in the service for 6-10 years with a percentage of 25%. 2. The knowledge level of the lactating mothers in terms of breastfeeding. It was revealed that the indicator "Do you know that breastfeeding enhances intelligence and mental development?" revealed the highest frequency of 27 or 90.00 % as "yes" while the indicator "Do you know that the most women with health problems can still breastfeed, except those tested positive of REV?" shows the lowest frequency of 17 or percentage of 56.67 % as "no". In terms on Mixed feeding. It revealed that the indicator "Do you know that if you decide to combine bottle feeding with breastfeeding, you should not introduce bottle feeding during the first six weeks of life?" got the highest frequency of 20 or percentage of 66.67% in terms of Yes and the indicator "Do you know the difference between nipples can confuse the baby, causing feeding problems, and interfering with the establishment of breastfeeding?" got the lowest frequency 12 or percentage of 40% in terms of No. In terms on Stoppage of breastfeeding. It was revealed that the indicator "The baby starts teething" got the highest frequency of 26 or percentage of 86.67% as "yes" while the indicator "Mother is under medical treatment" got the lowest frequency of 30 or percentage of 100% as "no". In terms on Bottle feeding. It was revealed that the indicator "Do you know that there are high chances that the baby may develop infections in bottle feeding?" got the highest frequency 26 or percentage of 86.67% as "yes" while the indicator "Do you know that the 0 bottle fed have an increased risk of obesity at least until six years of age?" got also the lowest frequency which is 15 or percentage of 50 % as "no". 3. On factors affecting the breastfeeding compliance which was answered both by the lactating mothers and barangay health workers, the indicator "lack of knowledge on the importance of breastfeeding" got the highest ranked with a frequency of 20. The indicator negative attitude towards breastfeeding" got the lowest ranked with a frequency of 3.
