Nurses in the In today’s time, the current employment among the Filipino Philippines is one of the issues faced within the country as there have been an underutilization of the nurses in the healthcare workforce and the existences of migration abroad, which all boils down to the lack of benefits acquired by the nurses in working within the home country, and one of which is the low salary of income provided. Thus, several studies were conducted in the country on the job employment of nursing graduates which is comparatively difficult as academic graduates usually land in positions, a number of times, not related to their inherent competences, it has become alarming for the Filipino nurses in terms of their employability. With the pursuit of determining the ploy ability among nursing graduates of University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi from 2013-2017, the study was conducted.
The study have used a descriptive type of research and the materials were focused a quantitative analysis having its 159 identified nursing graduates for the year 2013-2017 as respondents and with a net retrieval rate of 115 questionnaires. Structured questionnaire was used in data gathering procedure. A frequency distribution and percent distribution was also used in tallying and further tabulating all the results of the data gathered. The employability among the nursing graduates for the years 2013-2017, the profile of the respondents was assessed, and it has been observed as an identification of their employment. The factors were significant enough in the job placements graduates, as it has contributed to their competencies Several among the as nurses in the health workforce.
