521 _aABSTRACT LIVED EXPERIENCES OF BULLIED JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS College of Health Sciences, University of Santo Tomas — Legazpi Rawis Legazpi City, Philippines, 4500 Bullying is a phenomenon becoming increasingly common in schools victimizing pupils and students, even teachers. The aim of the study was to explore the lived experiences of Junior high school students of University of Santo Tomas Legazpi who have become victims of bullying. The paper focused on how bullying is committed identifying and analysing the impact on the person's physical, emotional and social well- being. Further, the study dwells on and outlines the coping mechanisms of victims to counter the harmful effects of the act, whether in school or at home. This study made primary use of qualitative and exploratory approaches using analysis of testimonials and insights into their experiences along: objects of bullying and its effects on their self-esteem, academic performance and the overall social impact considering the increasing degrees, frequency and intensity of instances of bullying and the apparent rationale of these lived experiences. The research recommended various measures and mechanisms to minimize, if not eliminate the risks
